As a researcher, I often need to extract some vector figures from others' papers. A bitmap screen-shot would be a nightmare for high quality publishing.
This tool called 'gpdfx' is super convenient for my use.

INSTALLATION
All you need to do is to extract 2 python scripts into your bin directory, e.g. ~/bin.
